Our Mission

We understand that the world is broken, life is difficult, and there are no easy answers. But Jesus invites us into “a rich and satisfying life” (John 10:10). Our foundational passion is to help people follow Jesus and find a real, meaningful life.

While church in the 21st century has become increasing complex, our aim is to be simple and focus on these four core convictions.

GENUINELY EXPERIENCING GOD

We can genuinely know and experience the living God in a personal way through Jesus. He is alive and active today— forgiving, speaking, healing, answering prayers, encouraging, and restoring. If we can’t experience God in these ways, then what’s the point of church anyway?

AUTHENTICALLY CONNECTING WITH PEOPLE

We can authentically connect with others through vital and meaningful friendships marked by transparency, helpfulness, and fun. For us, gathering regularly in small groups is at the heart of who we are. But much of our church life happens also happens spontaneously—people hang out, go the movies, share meals, play sports or video games, or help each other out with home projects.

POWERFULLY AND COMPASSIONATELY EXTENDING THE KINGDOM

We can extend God’s kingdom—his love, mercy, power, and truth—where we work, live, play, and go to school through the Holy Spirit. Because separation from God has taken its toll on everyone, everywhere, we desire to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in setting the world right again through doing the works, sharing the words, and living the ways of Jesus.

RADICALLY CHANGING OUR WORLD

When we find and follow Jesus, we can experience radical life change—profound joy, peace, and deep satisfaction—and be agents of change in others, too. Ultimately, we want to make a real difference. We want our lives to have counted for something . . . right here in Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, Stark, and Marshall Counties! We’d like to invite you to join us on the journey.
